新改訳を読んできた私は、今まで黙示録１：１１に「わたしはアルファであり、オメガである」という文言が入っていることを知りませんでした。

キング・ジェームズ訳を見てください。

Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

その声はこう言った。「あなたの見ることを巻き物にしるして、七つの教会、すなわち、エペソ、スミルナ、ペルガモ、テアテラ、サルデス、フィラデルフィヤ、ラオデキヤに送りなさい。」 　　

saying, "(A)Write in a book what you see, and send it to the (B)seven churches: to (C)Ephesus and to (D)Smyrna and to (E)Pergamum and to (F)Thyatira and to (G)Sardis and to (H)Philadelphia and to (I)Laodicea."
